Ever feel like you need some sort of hoist or forklift to get you out of bed in the morning? Let’s face it, getting up can be hard when it is so warm in bed and so dark and cold outside. We thought we would introduce you to some fun and inventive ways to get out of bed and start the day early.
Red Bull has devised a very clever app that uses group pressure to get you up in the morning. The app wakes you up and counts how many times you hit snooze in the morning. It can also link to your social media to so you can compete with your friends on who or group shame your friends into getting out of bed in the morning. For the sports minded among you get woken up with sights and sounds like skiing, snow boarding or surfing.
If reaching over and hitting snooze is way too easy for you perhaps the alarm clock floor matt could help. The concept here is the matt goes off until you get out of bed and stand on it. The further it is placed from your warm and comfortable bed the more likely you may be to staying awake after shutting it off. Or placing it on the way to a nice warm shower could make things better as well.
In a marketing stunt gone oh so right it’s wrong, a company launching a new coffee product commissioned an inventor to create a bed that catapults sleepy heads out of bed. The bed has a variety of power levels to separate a dreamer from their covers. You can choose from a light toss to being shot across the room and smashing against the bedroom wall.
