“Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another.” – John Dewey
Goal setting and management of new goals can feel very overwhelming. How do you take the pressure out of changing your behaviour? Try giving yourself options instead of goals. For example, instead of saying I won’t have desert after dinner tonight, only to cave in when everyone else orders desert, give yourself options. An option could look like, if everyone has desert, I will order a coffee. Options allow for flexibility that leaves room for success in the new year.
